Rose Heyworth Colliery Tender for Sidings and Out-Buildings 1874

Rose Heyworth Colliery Tender for Sidings and Out-Buildings 1874.
After the negotiations and land purchase, Mr Lawrence Heyworth started on his plan to open the colliery with the backing of the South Wales Colliery Company.

After the land was cleared of trees and prepared the laying and construction of the sidings and out-buildings were put out to tender in January 1874.

The Proof of the Date of Sinking.
A few years ago, after many years of research, I found that the Rose Heyworth Colliery was not sunk in 1871 as published in many books, modern papers and other such articles. Everyone blindly believed the made-up sinking date of 1871 and what had been printed had been plagiarised over the years. This Western Mail news clipping validates my research.
