The Details.
The accounts are in connection with the employees fortnightly wages over the Christmas and New Year period of 1903-1904. As an example, Mr David Wilkins (my great-grandfather) number four on the list – His two-week wages, less rent of 11s. and stores deduction of 1s. 6d totalled £3. 6s. 6d. This is equivalent to £420.00 in today’s money or £210.00 per week.
