Boat Hook.
This type of boat hook was also used to pull down the remnants of old wooden cottages if fire broke out, similar ones were used in the great fire of London. This hook was found in the River Thames
Made from wood and iron. Size 16″ inches.
17th – 19th century.
This is only the head section of the hook. It would have been many feet long originally and up to about ten-feet in length.
