Stigmaria Fossil. This Stigmaria is a form genus for tree roots coal forest Lycopod trees such as Sigillaria and Lepidodendron. The trees grew to 30 metres in height, 1 metre thick and flourished in hot and swampy forests. Size 12″ x 3″ x 2″ inches. The Carboniferous Period – 354 million years to 290 million years ago.

Neuropteris. This Neuropteris fossil was found in the waste from the Rosemont Coal Levels behind Attlee Avenue, Rose Heyworth, Abertillery. Fossil size 5″ x 4″ inches. The Carboniferous Period – 354 million years to 290 million years ago.

Neuropteris. This Neuropteris fossil was found in the waste from the Rosemont Coal Levels behind Attlee Avenue, Roseheyworth, Abertillery. Fossil size 5″ x 4″ inches. This fossil is actually on the reverse of the other Neuropteris matrix. The Carboniferous Period – 354 million years to 290 million years ago.  

Unidentified Fossil. This Unidentified Fossil has a Dark Brown knobbly outer appearance and is overall made from a dense Iron like material, although it’s non-metallic. Fossil Size 2″ inches. Weight 181g. Date unknown.  

Unidentified Fossil. This Unidentified Fossil has a Beige coloured core with Pyrite inclusions and a dark Grey outer shell covering. Fossil Size 5″ x 3″ x 2″ inches. Date Unknown.    

Fossilised Tree Trunk. This Fossilised Tree Trunk is from the South Coast of the United Kingdom. Fossil size 7″ x 3″ inches. The Cretaceous Period – 150 million years ago.  

Asterophylittes. Asterophylittes is from the Calamites family which are a genus of extinct Horse Tails. Fossil size 3 1/2″ x 3″ inches. The Carboniferous Period – 354 million years to 290 million years ago.

Mariopteris. Mariopteris was one of the seed ferns, with small leafy foliage which grew to about 17′ feet in height. Fossil size 4″ x 2 1/2″ inches. The late Carboniferous Period – 300 million years ago.
