Miners Clogs. A pair of miners clogs.  Made from very thick leather uppers with wooden soles, fitted with tin toe-caps and with iron horse-shoe like protective sole and heel strips. Size 9″ inches high. These high ankle clogs were used from the 1920’s-30’s up until the 1970’s in the northern coalfields. They were also used in other heavy industries.

Rubber N.C.B. Ankle Boots. A pair of N.C.B. rubber ankle boots. Made from rubber with steel toe-cap. These are black rubber with a grey trim and toe-cap.  Size 8″ inches high. This type of boot came with three different coloured trims, grey, red and green. Used throughout the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s.

Wellington Boots. A pair of N.C.B. Dunlop steel toe-cap Wellington boots, shorter type. Used throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s. Made from black rubber. Size 12″ inches high. This certain type of Wellington boot came in two different height sizes, this one 12″ inches high and also a higher 15″ inch variant.

Wellington Boots. A pair of N.C.B. Dunlop steel toe-cap Wellington boots, higher type. Used throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s. Made from black rubber. Size 15″ high. This certain type of Wellington boot came in two different height sizes, this one 15″ inches high and also a lower 12″ inch variant.

Black Leather Ankle Boot. A pair of N.C.B. leather steel toe-cap ankle boot. Made from leather with a steel outer toe-cap. Size 6″ inches high. Used throughout the 1960’s, 1970’s and the 1980’s. In the late 1980’s they were produced for British Coal.

Wellington Boots. A pair of N.C.B. Wellington boots. Made from black rubber. Size 15″ inches high. Used throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s. 

British Coal Wellington Boots. A pair of British Coal Wellington boots. Made from black rubber. Size 15″ high. Used throughout the late 1980’s after the change over from the N.C.B. to British Coal in 1987. This particular make were not of a high quality as seen in the older N.C.B. issue Wellington boots of the 1970’s. These modern boots were …
