Miners Baths Flip-Flops.
Made from foam and rubber. Size 11″ x 4″ inches.
These flip-flops were issued by the N.C.B in the 1970’s – 80’s to be used while showering to combat the risk of verruca’s and athletes toot. In the 1950’s – 60’s the N.C.B. had introduced the cork and PVC baths slippers. The cork and PVC material was prone to drying-out and splitting causing cuts and chaffing to the miners feet so the N.C.B. began issuing the foam and rubber type.
