A Side……. Rockaria
B Side……. Poker
Label/No……. United Artists UP-36209
Pressed in ……. Republic of Ireland
Notes……. This copy has the light coloured labels.
There is no production country markings on these issues of Rockaria/Poker, the consensus is that they were produced in the Republic of Ireland, though other ELO Electric Light Orchestra single records made in the Republic on the United Artists label states the country of production as England and they are of a better quality and have much lighter uniform coloured labels. These pressings are a curiosity as to their dark tone label colours and quality of vinyl used in their production.
Most, if not all of these Republic of Ireland pressings of Rockaria/Poker on the United Artist Label, were poorly pressed. The vinyl mixture during production was poorly mixed which caused air pockets and crumbling at the centre of the record and the labels were of varying colour hues from dark to light Tan. These defects were mostly seen in the Rhodesian, Zimbabwean pressings.
