Stone Tomahawk Axe Head.
This native American axe head was found in Harriton County, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Made from stone. Size 6″ x 3″ x 1 1/4″ inches.
Dated 8,000 – 5,000 BC.
This is what is known as a full groove head. The groove to hold the handle was carved all the way around the axe head. Others were only carved with a half groove.
