A Brass Baths Locker Key & Plastic Man-Power Board Tag.
Made from brass and nickle alloy and plastic. Size of the key is 2″ inches. Tag size 1 1/4″ round.
At Rose Heyworth Colliery there was a man-power board in the entrance of the baths. These tags were placed on hooks next to your name, when you came to work you would take your tag off the hook and place in a small box, this showed you were in work. The tags were three different colours for the three different shifts, blue for day shift, green for afternoon shift and red for night shift. This scheme worked separately to the lamproom checks system.
