A Miners Pocket Watch Case.
A rarer type of miners pocket watch case.
Made from brass and glass with an hinged front (as seen left). Size 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ x 1″ inches.
This type enabled you to see the watch through the glass without having to remove it from the case. It has a smaller diameter glass than other cases of this design.
This case has no size number, cases similar to this were produced in slightly different sizes No2, No4 etc and stamped as such.
