A Pair of Children’s Vintage Leather Hobnail Boots (C.W.S.) Co-operative Wholesale Society.
A pair of museum quality child’s vintage leather hobnail boots with waxed laces. Made by Goliath Boot Manufacturers and distributed by the C.W.S. Co-operative Wholesale Society. 

Dated circa 1930. 

Made from leather and iron. Black leather uppers with brown leather soles strengthened with iron studs and hobnails with iron toe and heel plates. 

Size 8″ x 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ inches. Shoe size, children’s 11. The Goliath makers mark and the retailers stamp C.W.S. can be seen (in the image right) impressed into the arch of the sole.
