An Iron Candle “Pot” Holder Spike

An Iron Candle “Pot” Holder Spike.
Used in mines and levels.

Made from iron. Size 4 1/2″ x 1″ inches.

The holder would be hammered into a timber on the coal face and a candle placed into it for lighting the work place. 

This candle spike was used in the Argoed Farm coal levels Brynithel.
