Oil Lamp. This dish oil lamp is of Middle Eastern origin. Made from terracotta clay. Size 2″ x 2″ inches. Dated Bronze Age 1,000 – 400 BC.  

A Roman Vessel. Made from an iron like bronze material.  Dated 1st – 5th century AD. Size 2″ x 1 3/4″ inches. This little vessel was found in England, with plough damage.   

Oil Lamp. This little terracotta oil lamp is from the Middle East and may be from the Roman Empire. Made from terracotta clay. Size 4″ x 3″ inches. Dated 1st -3rd Century AD.  This oil lamp may have had a lid which is missing.

Roman Three Legged Dish. Made from a bronze. Size 3″ x 2″ inches. Dated 1st – 5th century AD.  This little bronze dish was found in England, with plough damage.

Roman Gaming Pieces. Made from lead, bronze and iron. Size 1/2″ – 3/4″ inches. Dated 1st century BC – 5th century AD.

A Viking Throwing Axe Head. Made from iron. Size 6 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ inches. Dated 800 – 900 AD.     

A Viking Socketed Arrowhead. Made from iron. Size 4 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ inches. Dated 800 – 900 AD.       

A Very Early Prick Spur. This early prick-spur is believed to be from the Viking era though may be of Carolingian Empire origin. Made from iron. Size 5″ x 4″ inches. Dated 800 – 900.  This spur still has remnants of both end sections where the leather fixing straps were tied.

Iron Fire Striker & Flint. This fire striker would be used by hitting the flint with the striker iron to produce a spark to light fires. Made from iron. Sizes 3″ – 1 1/2″ inches. Date unknown but were used from Roman era to the medieval period.   This striker has the original flint in its intact casing.
