Egyptian Mummy Beads.
Made from clay. Size approximately 48″ inches long.
Dated to the Egyptian New Kingdom period 1,600 BC.
This type of beading was said to have been formed by rolling a reed in clay, moulding the length of bead, drying it out and then pulling the reed from the bead to form the hole through the middle to place the stringing.
