This is a Messrs E. Thomas & Williams Oil Lamp, type No4. It is stamped Partridge, Jones & Co. This is an earlier stamped lamp as John Paton hadn’t yet joined the company. The lamp was from one of their collieries in the district.

The lamp has all matching numbers from the makers, with P. J. & Co stamped on the oil reservoir and bonnet.

Made from metal, brass and glass. Size 9 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ inches.
