Made of leather and iron. Size 5″ x 2″ x 2″ inches.
Dated 19th – 20th century.
These were used on the palm of the hands with the hole for the thumb. They were designed to help push the needles through the thick sail cloth and to protect the hands of the repairers. Used up to the present time. This is a right-handed palm.
