Unknown Clay Ball.
Made from a terracotta clay material. Size 2 1/2″ inches.
Date unknown.
This clay ball was found in the river close to Waltham Abbey, Essex in the early 1970’s. It was one of six balls found there when they were dredging the river. It’s pierced through on six sides and has a sort of white paint on the scarred surface. It has left a lot of experts baffled as what they could have been.
