A Coal Cutter Bit. Made from iron and tungsten. Size 4″ x 1″ inches. This is a double tipped coal cutter bit, the word “Padloy” is embossed into the side of the pick.

A Coal Cutter Bit. Made from iron and tungsten. Size 4″ x 1″ inches. The word “Mohar” is embossed  into the side of the pick. This cutter bit came from Cwmtillery Colliery in the early 1960’s.

Engineers Chalk Sticks. Chalk sticks in original box. Made by Dunlop & Ranken. Made of high density chalk. Size of box 6″ x 4″ x 2″ inches. 36 sticks in a box. Used in the mining industry and other occupations for marking machinery or pieces of metal work, used above and below ground by miners, welders and fitters etc.

N.C.B. Knife. An N.C.B. craftsman’s retractable knife. Made from a metal alloy. Size 6″ inches. Date 1970’s to present. The belt gangs would have originally been issued with the Hayden Nilos (conveyor belt company’s) bone-handled curved blade folding knives.
