A Ringrose Firedamp Alarm. This Ringrose Firedamp Alarm was made by I.G.D. Ltd the International Gas Detectors Limited of Leeds, England. Made from metal, glass, iron and copper. Size 9 1/2″ x 3″ x 3″ inches. Dated to the 1970’s-1980’s?   These metal Ringrose Firedamp Alarms were later produced with a plastic casing and also made slightly larger.

Stigmaria Fossil. This Stigmaria is a form genus for tree roots coal forest Lycopod trees such as Sigillaria and Lepidodendron. The trees grew to 30 metres in height, 1 metre thick and flourished in hot and swampy forests. Size 12″ x 3″ x 2″ inches. The Carboniferous Period – 354 million years to 290 million years ago.

Old Methanometer and Gas Bulb. Made from plastic, glass, steel, iron and rubber. Size 13″ inches in total length – Case 7″ x 2 1/2″ x 3″ inches. The rubber bulb is 6″ inches. (More information to come).

Stone Tomahawk Axe Head.  This native American axe head was found in Harriton County, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Made from stone. Size 6″ x 3″ x 1 1/4″ inches. Arrowhead Abrader Sharpener.  This abrader arrowhead sharpener was found in Scioto County, Ohio, U.S.A. Made from stone. Size 2″ x 1 1/2″ x 3/4″ inches Dated 10,000 – 1,000 BC. The image (left) is of the underside of the abrader.

Native American Indian Paint Pot.  Found in Ohio, U.S.A.   Made from banded slate. Size 1 1/2″ x 3/4 inches. Dated 2,000 – 1,000 BC.   This is a small finger pot for applying facial paint etc. The image (left) is the underside of the pot.
