Bernard Jones – Newsagent. A receipt for the supply of newspapers from Bernard Jones, Newsagent at No.6 Carlyle Street, Abertillery, for the Rose Heyworth Club. The receipt was for the period between July 1971 and April 1972, 35 weeks plus the Christmas period editions for the total £7.35p. Dated 4th April 1972.

Bryn Hammond – Abertillery. A receipt from Bryn Hammond, Wholesale Grocers, Provision Merchants, Confectioners and Tobacconist of Richmond Road, Abertillery, for provisions for food for the Rose Heyworth Club Darts Team. Dated 1st January 1972.

Jones Omnibus Services Ltd – Aberbeeg. A receipt for the hire of nine forty-five seater buses by the Rose Heyworth Tenants Club from Jones Omnibus Services, Aberbeeg. The hire of the buses were for the annual day trip to Barry organised by the committee of the club. The cost of the nine forty-five seater buses was £130.50p. Dated 17th July …

The Original Drill Hall – Abertillery. During the late 1890’s the Drill Hall at Abertillery was in a room on the upper floor of the Castle Inn, Castle Street, Abertillery (as seen left, center of the image).
